NEW FIAT GRANDE PUNTO VAN HITS THE ROAD
02 September 2007 - Fiat

All the comfort, style and quality of a great car – all the convenience and robustness of a great commercial vehicle

that’s the new Fiat Grande Punto Van, which has just gone on sale in the UK, priced at £8,600 plus VAT.

With Fiat’s dependable and economical 75 bhp 1.3 16v MultiJet engine, a 1.0 m3 load capacity and the stunning good looks of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s iconic car design, the Grande Punto Van balances head-turning style with load-bearing practicality.

More than 58,000 Grande Punto cars have already been sold in the UK since its introduction last year and the new CV – which replaces the Punto Van – looks set to join in the success story. Well bolstered seats – with height adjustment for the driver – remote central locking, and a radio/CD player add to cabin comfort, while climate control with pollen filter is available as an option.

The 1248cc, Euro 4 Common Rail MultiJet diesel engine features a turbo and intercooler and is linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. It gives the Grande Punto Van a maximum speed of 103 mph, yet returns an impressive 62.8 mpg economy on the combined cycle.

Standard equipment includes body coloured bumpers and side panels, electrically operated wing mirrors, ABS anti-lock braking with EBD (Electric Brake Distribution), adjustable headlamps, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, Dualdrive power steering and a locking fuel cap.

A host of optional extras are available, including 15-inch alloy wheels, headlamp washers, reverse parking sensor, front foglights and rear wash/wipe. Grande Punto Van is available in Ambient White or Evocative Blue, with Exotica Red as a special order option.
