MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT FIAT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES (UK)
28 April 2007 - Fiat
50 year-old Gerry Clarke has just been appointed Commercial Vehicles Director, Fiat Auto (UK), and takes over all commercial vehicle responsibilities from his predecessor, Kevin Henderson.
Gerry Clarke joined Fiat Auto UK in September 1986, holding various key managerial positions within the company, including that of Dealer Development Director, which he relinquished at the close of 1997 to assume the role of Commercial Director, Fiat Auto South Africa, with a remit to develop the activities of Fiat Group Automobiles there. Most recently, Gerry has been responsible for the development of the Fiat Automobiles brand as sales director for export markets through a network of 65 importers worldwide. Commenting on his new UK role, Gerry says: “The challenge ahead is a very exciting one, in that we have yet to exploit the full potential of our commercial vehicles brand in this market. “With Europe’s youngest product line-up to offer our customers, this is exactly the right moment to raise our game. This will be done through both a programme of professional network development in which we aim to be at the forefront of service provision to our customers, and of the ongoing development of professional salesmen, both at direct and dealer sales level.”
