MICHAL HRABÁNEK APPOINTED NEW HEAD OF ŠKODA AUTO MOTOR SPORT DEPARTMENT
16 April 2007 - Skoda

Michal Hrabánek (38) has been appointed Head of Škoda Auto Motor Sport Department.

Dr. Martin Muehlmeier, his predecessor, is returning to Audi after three years spent at this post.

Michal Hrabánek has previously worked in Škoda Auto''s technical development and, over the last 4 years, in sales and marketing. As Head of the Motor Sport Department, he is going to report directly to Dr. Eckhard Scholz, Škoda Auto BOD Member for Technical Development.

Hrabánek''s main task will involve development operations on the new Fabia Super 2000, a rally car the concept of which Škoda Auto presented at the recent Geneva Motor Show. At the same time, Michal Hrabánek has become responsible for preparing motor sport of Škoda Auto strategy for the future.

“With over a hundred years of motor sport activities, it is an important part of Škoda''s history. Ensuring successful continuity is a great challenge for me, as well as all of my colleagues. We have a lot of work to do,” said Michal Hrabánek, the new Head of Škoda Auto Motor Sport Department.
