UNUSUAL LESSONS
07 March 2007 - Volkswagen Motorsport
Students of the 11th form of ''Raabeschule'' in Braunschweig recently experienced an unusual type of French lesson
Volkswagen factory co-driver Michel Périn answered their questions at the end of their ''Francophonia'' project theme. In French – naturally – the entire class bombarded the three-time Dakar Rally winner with questions on the unique desert cross-country event as well as on the culture of the people living in the region. Technical questions related to the Race Touareg and the Service-Touareg used in the ''Dakar'', in which Périn had travelled to Braunschweig, the Frenchman was pleased to answer in detail for the inquisitive youngsters as well. As part of their project the students had worked on topics pertaining to respective regional studies based on the route of the Dakar Rally which led from Lisbon/Portugal to Dakar/Senegal from 6 to 21 January. ''An interesting project that inspired impressive enthusiasm,'' said Michel Périn at the end of the lesson while patiently writing numerous autographs.
