PORTABLE MULTIMEDIA NAVIGATION FROM BLAUPUNKT:
01 March 2007 - Bosch

TravelPilot Lucca 5.2 navigates across borders

Quick and easy to operate

· No-stress navigation in 41 countries across Europe

· Navigation data is already pre-installed in the device

· Audio, video and photo features delight the eye and ear

Bosch subsidiary Blaupunkt now introduces a new product generation for
high-quality portable navigation: the TravelPilot Lucca 5.2. The
sophisticated Personal Navigation Device (PND) features route guidance
that is quickly available, highly precise and can be used virtually
anywhere in Europe, extremely easy operation via touch-screen and an
entirely new slider function that is unique on the current market. In
addition, this device is a particular delight to the eyes and ears: it is
able to play previously stored music and video files from external
sources.

With the TravelPilot Lucca 5.2, Blaupunkt is the first manufacturer to
offer drivers a portable navigator that can be used in more than 40
different countries across Europe. The data is already stored in the
device in an ''embedded flash'' with 2 GB. This information provides fully
digitized navigation data for a total of 27 countries. Route guidance
gets the user reliably to the selected destination in the residential and
industrial areas of cities and towns as well as to the smallest roads in
the countryside. In 14 other, primarily eastern European countries,
stress-free navigation is mainly available on larger connecting roadways.
Driving recommendations and route guidance appears on the device screen
in informative 2D or 3D views.

The newly designed menu operation is one of the special features of the
TravelPilot Lucca 5.2. The device cannot only be controlled conveniently
and intuitively by touch-screen, it is also the first PND to be equipped
with two touch-sensitive sliders on the right and the left of the high-
resolution 4-inch color display in 16:9 format. A light touch or slide is
all it takes to activate the primary system functions: whether you want
to adjust the volume, zoom in on the roadmap or scroll through the lists
of city or street names. It''s a function like no other on the current
market.

Three hardkeys below the touch-screen provide for direct access to
important function levels, such as repeating a driving recommendation,
accessing a main menu or switching the device on or off. In addition, the
TravelPilot Lucca 5.2 display color-codes the topics to prevent operating
errors. Color coding, hardkeys, the slider function and touch-screen
convenience are the perfect guarantee for easy operation.

In terms of technology, the TravelPilot Lucca 5.2 features optimized
locating along with the integrated TMC receiver (Traffic Message Channel),
which enables dynamic navigation in more than twelve countries to
comfortably guide drivers around any traffic congestion. The GPS receiver
(Global Positioning System) uses a technology that is capable of
incredibly quick locating to provide significantly quicker access times
and more rapid route calculation with highly precise navigation right to
the house number.

Route planning with several stopovers can be just as easily planned as
route calculation on the basis of different route profiles - such as a
route for a car, a truck or a pedestrian. Routes excluding highways or
ferry connections can also be selected. During the trip, the device can
be set to provide graphical and acoustic warnings of speed limits and to
indicate the estimated time of arrival or remaining travel time as well
as the distance remaining to the destination. The Lucca 5.2 also includes
the information contained in the Merian Scout travel guide, which makes
it possible to select from and drive to more than 250,000 additional
attractive travel destinations and points of interest - from local,
regional and gourmet restaurants to nature parks, to castles and churches,
to amusement parks, camp grounds or, in case of emergency, to a hospital
as well.

During route calculation, the new, portable navigation system from
Blaupunkt also boasts a wide range of multimedia capabilities. These
include playing MP3/WMA music or WMV video files from an SD card, loading
audio and video files, connecting (Video-In) an iPod, monitor, DVD player
or a back-up camera as well as viewing digitally recorded photos (JPEG
view). A mini-USB connection lets users download files from their PCs.
The music can be played either over the integrated loudspeakers, the car
speakers or the earphones.

With its elegant design in pocket format and the remarkably few
operating elements, the new TravelPilot Lucca 5.2 is in a class of its
own with a very sophisticated technology. To protect the buyer''s
investment, this high-quality device can be locked with a 4-digit PIN
code and also taken along in the optionally available Lucca case - a very
easy and convenient way to protect the device against theft.
