WELCOME TO A NEW VENTURE…
12 February 2007 - Aquila Sports Cars
Jamaican entrepreneur and builder of the Island Cruiser range of cars has completed secret talks with Milan Mladenovich of the UK Aquila Sports car company to build and market in the USA and the Caribbean, the Aquila sports car.
“The relationship makes all sorts of sense for Jamaica and for Aquila, “ said Mr Marzouca recently. “Our labour costs and conditions together with over 12,000 square feet of factory space are highly attractive to a UK business such as Aquila Sports Cars . Mr Mladenovich commented on the deal that was brokered by Chris Beddows – a media and marketing expert based in Canada, “Chris saw that our products are both hand-crafted and appealing to the young and the young at heart. We also both have plans to make inroads into the Caribbean rental market as well as sales in the USA. It is a business match made in heaven – as well as providing added employment for appropriately skilled Jamaicans.” Jamaican and Caribbean businesses are being offered the opportunity to support a Jamaican sporting adventure as well as receive recognition in the following ways: In the case of the Island Cruiser, the reliability of a Toyota drive train and underpinnings combined with a strong fiberglass body and steel roll bar makes for a safe, lively and amazingly quick vehicle to offer to rental companies throughout the Caribbean and individuals seeking carefree and distinctive transport. The Aquila is based on Ford underpinnings and has already established an enviable reputation in the UK and Europe for speed and rel;iability. It boasts a Ford Zetec engine of 1.8 or 2.0 litres but Aquila may add the option of a V6 or V8 for US and Caribbean use. News has already got out apparently as the order books are starting to see sales to some US rental companies. The future is looking sunny for the Cruiser and the Aquila and Jamaica.
