INAUGURAL BUSINESSCAR AWARDS
24 January 2007 - Business Car

The UK’s best company cars revealed

Ford’s S-max has been voted car of the year by the readers of BusinessCar.

The Ford S-max took the BusinessCar Awards’ New Fleet Car of the Year prize today at an exclusive ceremony for the fleet industry’s top executives – the people responsible for running the cars powering British business.

The BusinessCar Awards are the only awards in the market that are solely voted for by the readership. This makes them the most influential in the business car arena.

Alongside the S-max winning New Fleet Car of the Year, Audi took two headline awards, for Manufacturer of the Year and User-Chooser Car of the Year for the TT. The other headline awards went to driver training and safety firm Drive & Survive, which won Service Supplier of the Year, and BP, which scooped Innovation of the Year for its Target Neutral scheme.

Tristan Young, BusinessCar Editor-in-chief, said: “The S-max’s win demonstrates, not only the continuing shift away from the default Mondeo company car choice, but also Ford’s timely response to the demands of business customers.

“The BusinessCar Awards are a barometer for the company car market. Drive & Survive’s service supplier win shows how important safety is to UK fleets, while BP’s carbon off-set innovation victory demonstrates how influential green matters are.”
