IAM Fleet to organise challenging Activity Day for fleet managers and operators
As one of a number of interesting and informative Activity Days being held to mark the IAM’s 50th anniversary, IAM Fleet is offering fleet managers and operators the chance to experience a wide range of skill-related driving challenges. ‘Driving Skills Awareness Day’ will take place at IAM Fleet’s new test facility at Prodrive, Warwickshire on June 7. The comprehensive programme is split into five parts and comprises elements of: Parking and manoeuvring - - the demanding course features a variety of challenges and obstacles, including some inflatable cars! Skid avoidance and control – using IAM Fleet’s purpose-built Skid Car, delegates will learn how to control skids and master understeer, oversteer and aquaplaning, thereby acquiring some potentially life-saving techniques Off-road driving – under the watchful eye of IAM Fleet’s experienced instructors, the IAM’s brand new 4x4’s will be put through their paces up hills, down dales and through woodland, mud and water Emergency reaction training – emergency stops and defensive driving techniques are all part of this element, as are exploring the myths surrounding ABS Seminar/demonstration drives – finally, delegates will be treated to a short overview of IAM Fleet’s products and new technologies and have the chance of a ‘taster’ demo drive conducted by a professional fleet trainer The action-packed day costs just £99.00 (inc VAT), inclusive of refreshments and lunch. Places can be reserved by emailing Sue Pesch at sue.pesch@iamfleet.com or by calling 0208 996 9712. Numbers are restricted, so early booking is recommended.
