PRUDENTIAL SIGNS UP WITH INCHCAPE FLEET SOLUTIONS FOR A FURTHER TWO YEARS Leading financial services company, Prudential, has extended its relationship with Inchcape Fleet Solutions with the signing of a new two-year contract. With a contract purchase fleet of 800 company cars in the UK, Prudential uses Inchcape Fleet Solutions for maintenance management, vehicle service, maintenance and repair bookings, short-term car rental and out-of-hours vehicle breakdown recovery. The two-year contract extension to November 2007 builds on a partnership that began in November 2003 when Inchcape Fleet Solutions secured the business ahead of nine rival companies. Prudential fleet manager John Wills said: “Inchcape Fleet Solutions has enabled the company to make savings of about £50,000 or 8% within our vehicle maintenance budget, which is significant. This is due to both tighter authorisation procedures and the excellent technical knowledge of Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ maintenance management controllers who ensure vehicle downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.” Meanwhile, Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ Premier Service - a one-stop shop SMR dealer booking service for Prudential’s 800 company car drivers - ensures employees remain focused on their jobs and not on arranging for their car to be serviced or repaired. Mr Wills said: “Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ dedicated Premier Service team has taken the hassle of arranging work with dealers away from our drivers and authorisation for all work away from our own fleet team. “Value for money, improved maintenance control, making life easier for our company car drivers and reducing the amount of time the Prudential’s own fleet team spend on vehicle maintenance issues were our objectives in choosing to work with Inchcape Fleet Solutions. Signing a new two-year contract is testimony to those ambitions being achieved.” Terry Bartlett, managing director, Inchcape Fleet Solutions, which has more than 50,000 vehicles on lease and fleet management, said: “We have been very successful in gaining clients who are looking for high quality, tailored fleet solutions that deliver real value in terms of improved service levels and reduced costs. We are delighted that Prudential has put its faith in Inchcape Fleet Solutions for a further two years.”
