26 February 2005 - LTI Vehicles
From left) Lydia Warrilow of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), receives a cheque for £3100 from Rose Jardine, Margaret Hitchins and Adam Wright of Coventry-based taxi manufacturer LTI Vehicles.
The amount has been generated over the last 12 months through a range of individual and company-wide initiatives including a golf tournament and the sale of number plates signed by Manchester United and Manchester City players, which had been used at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Lydia Warrilow commented: ''We are once again most grateful to the staff and directors at LTI who have been supporting the NSPCC as their charity for the last three years and have raised a substantial five-figure sum in that time, representing a major contribution to our work in the Coventry region.'' Margaret Hitchins added: ''We were delighted to once again be able to present a substantial cheque to support the excellent work undertaken at the NSPCC’s Boole House facility in Coventry. ''So many of our staff have worked so hard over the year in organising fundraising events and to be able to pass over this amount shows how worthwhile their efforts have been.''
