BLACK CABS TAKE IOC MEMBERS TO BUCKINGHAM PALACE
22 February 2005 - LTI Vehicles

A fleet of ''London 2012 Back the Bid'' liveried TXII taxis supplied by manufacturer LTI Vehicles delivered IOC members, plus support staff and hosts from the London 2012 bid team, to HM The Queen''s reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday 18th February.

The cabs were on hand throughout last week to transport the delegates around the capital as they viewed some of the proposed Olympic venue sites. Each cab is liveried in one colour from the Olympic rings with the London 2012 Back the Bid logo. The cabs were produced by LTI to demonstrate the company’s support for the bid.

Black cabs were chosen for this role for the IOC visit based on their global status as an icon of Britain, and London in particular.
