KIA CELEBRATES DOUBLE USED CAR HONOURS

Kia is celebrating more award-winning triumphs this week as two of the company''s best-selling models captured titles in the Auto Express Used Car Honours 2006.

This is the second year running that the excellent value Kia Sedona has received the Large MPV title and the seven-seater''s fourth win in five years at the honours.

For the first time, the Picanto celebrated a win in the Small Car category. Taking its second title of the year, the small but perfectly formed Picanto also came top in Parkers Price Guide Residual Values Survey in February proving definitively that buying a Picanto can only be a smart move in the value stakes.

Paul Williams, Kia Motors UK managing director, said: ''This has been a great year for our used vehicles as we have seen great residuals prices across the Kia range. We have worked really hard to ensure that our cars are great value both new and used so that customers can be always guaranteed a good deal.

''With the growth we have seen in the retail and fleet markets, we are laying the foundations to launch Kia''s Used Car Scheme in early summer.

''Under the scheme, customers will be able to enjoy consistent quality with provenance and mileage checks and a rigorous pre-sales examination on all approved used cars. All vehicles will also come with 12 month warranty and our usual excellent value for money. This is a completely new offering from Kia and our used car proposition will only go from strength to strength.''

Tow Car of the Year 2006, the Kia Sorento was also favoured by Auto Express receiving a commendation in the 4x4 Off-Roader Category and narrowly missing out on the title.

The Auto Express Used Car Honours 2006 are based on depreciation, whole life costs, reliability, practicality, market sentiment, road test reports and driver feedback.
