PROMOTION SEES KIA AFTER SALES FOCUS FOR 2006
09 March 2006 - Kia
Hamish McCowan has been promoted to After Sales Director of Kia Motors (UK) Limited, reflecting the dramatic growth in the company''s parts and after-sales business.
McCowan, 44, left Mazda in 2000 to join Kia as a regional business manager before moving to Head of After Sales in 2003. As After Sales Director he will add to his responsibilities by developing Kia''s internal and dealer network training programme as well as supporting Kia''s General Affairs. Due to Kia''s continued increase in new vehicle sales, the company''s parts and accessories business has grown substantially. In 2005, dealer net parts sales reached £17.9 million, representing a growth of 380% over sales in 2001. Equally, accessory sales grew 350% over the same period, mirroring Kia''s expansion in the UK market. McCowan commented; ''In response to our sales success in 2005, we have taken huge steps to strengthen the After Sales service offered to our customers. It is important to us that we exceed customer expectations at every level of After Sales, be it customer service, technical, parts or warranty. ''By building strong foundations in all areas of the after sales service, we can ensure that customer loyalty remains with the brand and support our dealer network in their expansion.''
