LOEB BACK TO WINNING WAYS IN MEXICO

An impressive drive by World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb in the Rally of Mexico this weekend earned the Frenchman his first victory of the season, taking him to the top of the WRC leaderboard.

The Mexican triumph, Loeb’s 21st World Rally Championship success, was also the first ever WRC victory for Kronos Total Citroën WRT and took them into the lead of the manufacturer’s championship.

Sébastien Loeb commented: ''I’ve won a rally that has not been kind to me in the past. Finally it’s been a win that I’ve had to go out and grab by the scruff of the neck. The tight battle makes this victory really worth it. Also, it’s put us at the top of the championship. In other words, everything is good!''

The Rally of Mexico also proved fruitful for the Spaniard Daniel Sordo on his gravel debut. Driving a privately sponsored Citroën Xsara WRC he finished just off the podium in an outstanding fourth place.
