BLACK TIES AND BENTLEYS
01 March 2006 - Bentley Motors

East Midlands charity to benefit from special fundraising evening, 18 March

For one night only one of the country’s most prestigious car showrooms is to be transformed into a unique venue for a ‘black tie’ charity evening and will be filled with the hits of Robbie Williams.

The Michael Powles Bentley dealership in Leicester, which represents the iconic British marque throughout the East Midlands, will host the evening to help the Debbie White Fundraising Society raise enough money to buy a specially adapted caravan that will allow disabled children from across the region to enjoy seaside breaks.

The evening starts with cocktails, followed by a three-course meal provided by renowned local caterer Fiona Herbert and her team, and then it will be time to dance the night away to a Robbie Williams tribute band. There will also be the opportunity to bid for some highly desirable sporting memorabilia and Bentley-inspired gifts.

And for motoring enthusiasts there will be the added attraction of being able to take a closer look at an impressive line-up of Bentleys including the Continental GT and the Continental Flying Spur, the world’s fastest four-door production car.

''We are extremely fortunate to have one of the most spacious showrooms in the country,'' comments Sally Brooks, marketing manager for Michael Powles.

''So we decided to put the showroom to good use and create a black tie charity night with a definite Bentley twist. We hope to become big supporters of the Debbie White Fundraising Society’s work on behalf of charities across the East Midlands and for one night only we’re very happy for the Bentleys to share the limelight,'' Sally added.

The Black Tie and Bentley Evening will be held at the Michael Powles Bentley showroom from 7.30pm, Saturday, 18 March. Michael Powles is situated at the Watermead Business Park, Syston, Leicester.

A limited number of tickets are still available (with all proceeds from the evening going to charity) and for further information about attending the evening please contact Sally Brooks (0116 260 1111) or Debbie White Fundraising Society (07720 052152).
