SEAT REVEALS PRICES AND SPECIFICATION FOR SPORTIER 2006 IBIZA

SEAT has released price and specification details of its new 2006 Ibiza, which goes on sale in the UK from 15 April.
- New 2006 Ibiza range on sale in the UK from 15 April - FR petrol model now £11,950, compared with £12,995 for outgoing model - Entry-level price remains the same £7,550 for the 1.2 12V Reference 3-door The new car features a raft of changes, most prominently sportier and more dynamic styling. Nowhere is this more apparent than on the FR model, which shouts hot-hatch to onlookers louder than ever, thanks to its new front design, bigger wheels, badges, twin exhaust pipes and more dramatic rear look. And the best news is that the most powerful FR model the 1.8 20V T 150 PS now costs £11,950 RRP on the road, compared with £12,995 for the outgoing version. The entry-level 1.2 12V Reference 3-door keeps the same recommended retail price as before at £7,550, despite the new styling and larger wheels (up from 14 to 15). Meanwhile, the range-topping Cupra models offer even greater value than previously, coming in at £14,400 for the powerful 1.8 20V T 180 PS (compared with £15,505) and £15,375 (£15,500) for the 1.9 TDI 160 PS the most potent diesel supermini on the market. The Ibiza is the top-selling SEAT model both in the UK and worldwide. When the last generation was launched in 2003, it won outright the prestigious What Car? Car of the Year award, as well as the title of Best Supermini. It then went on to come top in the Best Supermini category for the next two years.
