08 February 2006 - LTI Vehicles
Fashionistas’ everywhere will be running in their Jimmy Choos to hail a London black cab as part of the Lulu Guinness campaign, ‘Catch me if you can’.
The campaign that runs until December 2006 uses ten iconic black TXII cabs made by LTI Vehicles, the manufacturer of the famous black cab to advertise the Lulu Guinness brand. Those lucky fashion aficionado’s who manage to hail one of the liveried cabs will be eligible for a 10 per cent discount when buying a bag. The black cab with its iconic status is one of London’s top tourist attractions and the vehicles core values of safety, reliability and recognisability is a perfect partnership with Lulu Guinness, a quintessentially English designer. Her designs reflect the essence of the English rose, now linked to the iconic British black cab, and she uses many symbols representative of the English culture in her work. Her handbags speak out with wit and wisdom and are collected around the world. They sit confidently in museums (like the V&A), as well as boardrooms and offices. Matthew Cheyne, Sales and Marketing Director of Coventry-based LTI Vehicles, said: “We are delighted that the black cab has been selected by Lulu Guinness in this campaign once again reinforcing the iconic status that the black cab holds not only in the UK but throughout the world.”
