NEW KIT FOR ‘BENTLEY BOYS AND GIRLS’

The children of Bowdon Church of England School are sporting a stylish new look for all of their football matches, courtesy of Bentley Manchester.

When the dealership heard the primary school was looking for a local sponsor for their kit, they were delighted to join the squad.

Bowdon school, founded in 1533, currently has 420 pupils. Their football squad, made up of 27 girls and boys from years five and six, will be following in the footsteps of sporting legends. The original ‘Bentley Boys’ became world renowned as they dominated famous racetracks like Le Mans and Brooklands in the 1920s. The team’s first tournament has already been played with the new kit, which carries the legendary ‘Flying B’ prominently on the front.

Headmaster, Neil Hoskinson, explains: ''The children can’t believe how fantastic the new kit looks. They are all enjoying the link with Bentley, especially when they turn up for a match with the prestigious logo on the shirts.'' He continued: ''We are very grateful to Bentley Manchester for all their help, they have provided a lot of support and advice, and their expertise was invaluable when deciding on the all important style and colour!''

The link between the Stretford-based Bentley dealership and Bowdon’s primary school is particularly significant as Jon Crossley, managing director, explains, ''Bowdon Church is one of the feeder schools for Knutsford High School. As the

original home of Bentley Manchester, we have close ties with Knutsford and next year we will be returning to the area with a purpose-built state-of-the-art facility. We are extremely proud to support the local community and wish the team a very successful season.''
