TAFT INTERNATIONAL REPLACE ENTIRE FLEET WITH ‘PERFECT’ VOLVO TRUCKS

Taft International Transport of Canterbury, Kent, have replaced their entire fleet of mixed vehicles with 14 new Volvo FH12 tractor units on a three-year contract hire deal from Volvo Dealer MC Truck & Bus at Hythe.

All of the trucks are 4x2, 460bhp artics plated for 40 tonne GCW operation. They have been specified with Globetrotter XL cabs in ‘Prestige’ trim with electronic climate control, radio/CD players and 14-speed splitter gearboxes, Volvo Engine Brakes, Air Flow system and sliding fifth wheels.

''The trucks have been on the road for a couple of months now and I am ‘over the moon’ with them,'' says Taft International’s Director Richard Taft. ''You don’t get much better than Volvo, both in terms of the trucks themselves and the service and back up from MC Truck & Bus. They provide a personal touch, are always available and very friendly. Overall, Volvo are a perfect truck and MC Truck & Bus provide a perfect service.''

Based at Manston Airport in Kent, the trucks will work on refrigerated and air freight contracts across the UK and Europe.
