NEW FACES AT FORD PRESS OFFICE
16 January 2006 - Ford

The Ford of Britain public affairs team began the New Year by welcoming new colleagues to the department.

Brian Bennett takes on leadership of the corporate affairs team from Tom Malcolm, who has been promoted to director of news operations at Ford of Europe headquarters in Cologne. Brian comes to Ford of Britain''s Brentwood base from the nearby Dunton Technical Centre where he was part of public affairs'' European product launch group. Former engineer and automotive journalist Brian, 50, lives with his wife and three children in Essex.

The second corporate affairs newcomer is George Ameyaw, 36, who joins as team administrator. George and Brian work with Oliver Rowe, news manager, and John Nevill, who runs Ford''s stunning heritage fleet of 80 vehicles.

At the end of last year Ford Public Affairs said farewell to two long-serving colleagues, Maggie Sweeting and June Cook. The loyal and hard working duo took the opportunity of early retirement after combined service to Ford of more than 40 years.

''While we were sorry to see Maggie and June retire, I''m delighted to welcome Brian and George to the team and look forward to introducing them to media at Ford events through 2006,'' said Tim Holmes, Ford of Britain public affairs executive director.
