FOR EVERY TYPE OF 12 V LEAD-ACID STORAGE BATTERY:New electronic all-round charger BAT 415 from Bosch charges even gel and AGM batteries
. Charger with precise charge characteristics for maximum performance · Safety features prevent false operation with serious consequences Bosch has marketed the newly designed battery charger BAT 415 with a maximum charging current of 15 amps. BAT 415 is an all-round charger for every workshop thanks to its universal applicability and also because of additional functions and safety features protecting it against faulty operations. All commercially available 12 V lead-acid storage starter batteries with liquid or fixed electrolyte can be safely charged with this unit. Gel or even AGM (AGM = Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries with fixed electrolyte are increasingly fitted as original equipment in passenger cars due to the high deep-cycle resistance. The charging current is infinitely variable and electronically controlled by a micro processor. BAT 415 has a sophisticated and extremely accurate level of charge which electronically monitors the whole charging process. Batteries can be charged at the vehicle electrical system, but continuous charging with controlled switching from charging to non-charging is also possible. Other functions of BAT 415 include floating-mode operation and backup mode, as is needed in battery changes. Various safety functions practically exclude the possibility of mishandling or faulty operation leading to serious consequences: BAT 415 immediately switches off or does not even start up in case of false operation. Furthermore, BAT 415 is protected against overload and overcharging. The reverse polarity protection allows operation of the charger only when connected with correct polarity.
