ROBERT WINS IRISH TECHNICIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

Dennison Commercials’ Group Service Manager Robert Jackson has been voted Irish Technician of the Year at this year’s ‘Export & Freight’ Transport and Logistics Awards.

Robert, who has been with Volvo Truck and Bus Dealer, Dennison Commercials, for almost 23 years, picked up his award at a ceremony at the Ramada Hotel in Belfast.

''I’m delighted to have won,'' he said. ''I want to thank Dennison’s for putting me forward for this award. I think it is a reflection on the work I have put in over the years and Dennison’s commitment to its customers.''

Robert joined Dennison Commercials in 1982 as a trained mechanic before being promoted to Senior Workshop Supervisor at Ballyclare in 1995. This year he became Group Service Manager for all Dennison depots and became, not only responsible for the technicians he previously worked alongside, but the supervisors he was once responsible to.
