TRANSFAST CHOOSE VOLVO FOR THE ‘ITALIAN JOB’
18 November 2005 - Volvo Truck Ltd
Manchester-based Transfast GB has recently taken delivery of their first Volvo FH12 artic.
Volvo were chosen as they provided the ‘complete package’ for the International Freight Company in terms of reliability, driver comfort and affordability. ''I used to drive a Volvo, so I know they’re reliable and provide exceptional comfort,'' explains Managing Director Adrian Keeling. ''Volvo also offer outstanding value for money as the price is very reasonable for such high spec vehicles.'' The 460 bhp, 4x2 artic has been specified with a low–ride Globetrotter XL cab in ‘Prestige’ trim, with electric windows, electronic climate control, mini fridge and radio/CD player for increased driver comfort. Bought from Sarah Bromiley at Thomas Hardie Commercials in Stockport, the truck will transport full groupage from the company’s Wythenshawe base to their International Head Office in Milan, Italy. It is expected the vehicle will cover the 3,500kms round-trip once a week. Transfast GB opted for a 4-year maintenance package with Thomas Hardie Commercials and the vehicle will be serviced and maintained at their Trafford Park Depot. The company is looking to expand its fleet in the forthcoming year and hopes to purchase another Volvo FH.
