VOLVO SERVICE PROVES ELECTRIC FOR JOHN BRADSHAW LTD
11 November 2005 - Volvo Truck Ltd
Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia’s performance from presentation stage through truck specification to final delivery has convinced Cambridgeshire-based John Bradshaw Ltd that they made the right choice choosing an FM9 rigid drawbar - their first Volvo truck for 10 years.
''Volvo responded very quickly to our enquiries and right through the whole process have provided us with a great service,'' says Allan Checkett, Transport Manager for John Bradshaw Ltd. ''The truck has been performing well and is soon due for its first service. I’ve been very impressed with the aftermarket service we have received from the Peterborough depot.'' The truck chosen is an FM9 6x2, 300bhp with Volvo’s automated I-Shift gearbox. Plated at 38 tonne GTW, the rigid has been specified with a Globetrotter cab in ‘Comfort’ trim and the prime mover and drawbar bodies, supplied by GB Transport Engineering of Wisbech, are curtainsider beavertails with electric winch and hydraulic tailgate. Based in Stibbington near Peterborough, the truck will be used to transport the vehicles to customers including hospitals, rail companies and to events such as the British Grand Prix and major golf tournaments.
