MONSTER JAM® BACK BIG IN HELSINKI!

Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced today that 25,000-plus fans attended Monster Jam® at in Hartwall Areena in Helsinki over the weekend.

“This event marked the second consecutive season of Monster Jam in Helsinki, and we are pleased with the fans’ continued enthusiasm toward the event,” said Magnus Danielsson, senior director of European events at Clear Channel Entertainment – Motor Sports. “With increased ticket sales and a stellar line up of trucks, the event marked another successful stop on the first-ever Monster Jam Europe tour.”

A total of 25,192 fans attended the four shows over the weekend at Hartwall Areena in Helsinki including a Saturday afternoon sell-out.

“One of the unique features of Monster Jam is the autograph session after the show,” said Danielsson. “The fans love meeting the stars of the show and to autographs from their favorite Monster Jam drivers and freestyle motocross riders. Judging by thousands of fans lining up to get autographs after the show to, I’d say, such monster trucks as Grave Digger®, Madusa and Monster Mutt® are becoming household names in Helsinki.”

The final stop on the 2005 European Monster Jam tour is in Stockholm at the Globe Arena November 11-13. Hot Wheels is the title sponsor of the show in Sweden.

“Last year we sold out all four shows at the Globe Arena for a total of 40,000-plus tickets,” said Danielsson. “Next weekend the Hot Wheels Monster Jam aims to repeat that success again. We will have sold out every one of our shows in advance in each of our first two years in Sweden. That is an incredible achievement.”

Preceding the live events is a complimenting television package of the US Monster Jam television program that has been customized and edited for each local market and which is broadcast on a major network in each country, including: Jim TV & Plug TV (Belgium); TV3 & ZTV (Sweden); Nelonen (Finland); Star TV (Switzerland); JETIX & RTL 7 (Holland), Italia 1 (Italy), Channel 4 & Kerrang TV! (UK) and Galaxie Sport (Czech Republic).
