BOSCH IN THE NEW CITROEN C6
15 October 2005 - Bosch

Systems for safe, comfortable and relaxed driving

· Twin-motor wiper system provides full visibility in the rain

· Parking assistant supports parking maneuvers

· TwinCeiver for optimal radio reception

Citroen is celebrating a comeback into the class of luxury sedans with the new C6. Bosch supplies the systems to the French OEM which add to more safety and driving convenience.

Bosch wiper systems provide an optimum in visibility in poor weather. The compact counter-running system is based on two electronically controlled electric motors driving the wiper arms on the driver and passenger side. This structure guarantees the largest possible field of vision even in rain. When it''s dry, the wiper blades are snuggly stuck
away from the driver''s view.

The Bosch parking assistant supports the driver in parking and maneuvering the vehicle. It supplies information on the distances to obstacles even in areas which are not in the driver''s sight. Damage during parking with expensive repairs can be avoided in this way.

The TwinCeiver of the Bosch subsidiary Blaupunkt for the integrated communication system is the highlight among car radios of the Citroen C6. This most state-of-the-art double tuner in the world as well as the specifically designed antenna combination DDA (Digital Directional Antenna) constantly evaluate digitalized signals and combine them to a strong signal free of noise. Multiple channel reception interferences are
practically totally suppressed and far distant, previously hardly detectable stations can be received. The radio offers the frequency ranges MW, LW as well as Short Wave Frequency on the 49-m band, which is a highly appreciated feature when traveling abroad.

Other Bosch products in the Citroen C6 include alternator, engine management, injectors, throttle devices and sensors.

The Bosch Group is a leading global manufacturer of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods, and building technology.
