ASTON MARTIN WINS 2005 LUXURY BRIEFING AWARD
13 October 2005 - Aston Martin
Aston Martin was recognised in the annual Luxury Briefing Awards with the 2005 ‘Award for Excellence’ in the luxury arena, at a party at the London store of Alfred Dunhill in Jermyn Street last week.
James Ogilvy, founder of Luxury Briefing: ''This Award recognises the overall excellence of Aston Martin, for its world-class product, its iconic design, superb quality and sheer desirability. An incredible amount has been achieved in the last five years and the Award is very well-deserved.'' Accepting the award on behalf of Aston Martin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez commented: ''Along with the Aston Martin team, I am delighted that our passion for excellence has been recognised with such a prestigious award. ''Whilst the production aspirations for our new V8 Vantage are higher than any previous Aston Martin, the car will still retain a high degree of exclusivity – a vital characteristic of our British marque.'' The launch of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage this summer marks the culmination of a plan to reinvigorate the Aston Martin brand that started in 2000. The V8 Vantage joins the Vanquish S and the DB9, completing the first three model line-up in Aston Martin’s history and supporting plans to grow annual volumes to nearer 5,000 cars per year.
